Jack Rabbit - Sheffield Student’s Union 10/03/2011.

Initially, we were all pretty sceptical about this gig; playing to international students was not exactly an obvious method of development, but playing the Union is always a pleasure so when it came to getting on stage we were all excitable.

Following Turkish, Chinese and African bands, we were not exactly in-keeping with the theme of the night, but as the night was about celebrating diversity, the crowd made light of this fact, with the MC announcing our Englishness just before we played.

The crowd were enthusiastic as we ripped through our set, perhaps letting ourselves go a bit more than usual, which really suited us. We were tighter than we’ve ever been and a warm reception from the crowd after every song left us feeling surprisingly euphoric.

April can’t come too soon.
